Think Pink Week

FCA Think Pink Week October 19th-23rd
FCA Think Pink Week is in memory of Sharon (Chick) Huey, Leo Hernandez (Colbert graduate - 2014), and Leticia Hernandez (Leo’s mother). In honor of (current employees) Amber Boney, Officer Bobby Brashier, Tiffany Britt, Virginia Washer, Shawn Wells, and Rebecca White. Please let Mrs. Richard know if any other current employees not mentioned are currently undergoing treatment or who have had treatment in the past.
Women Rock is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is saving and changing lives by increasing awareness and the early detection of breast cancer and providing hope and support to those they serve. Their site, located in Sherman, burned down in February of last year. They are currently renting a space and keeping an eye out for a place to lease or buy. All proceeds will go to Women Rock to help them rebuild and continue to help those in need.
- We will decorate study hall with all the “Survivors” and “In Memory of” names. If you need to add anyone since last year, please e-mail Mrs. Richard with the names ASAP. The list consists of all kinds of cancer survivors and loved ones that have passed (not just breast cancer).
- There will be donation buckets located in the offices of each school site during this week.
- We will collect new scarves and hats to donate to Women Rock throughout the week since many people lose their hair during treatment.
